OpenStudy (mani_jha):

If sinA/sinB=2/3, cosA/cosB=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You don't know what it is. You have two unknowns and one equation.

OpenStudy (mani_jha):

So, it's not possible to find?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's what I think unless u assume that sinA =2 and sinB=3 which is dumb.

OpenStudy (mani_jha):

We can assume sinA=2k and sinB=3k. where, k is some constant. Let me see..

OpenStudy (mani_jha):

Yeah, i guess it's not possible. Thanks, and sorry for wasting your time on such a question

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Are these just random angles or are they related somehow?

OpenStudy (mani_jha):

Actually, i needed the ratio cosA/cosB while trying a physics problem. A plank of length 2L is sliding against a wall.|dw:1330547068851:dw|. Well, there are the two situations. That's how I got the above ratio
