OpenStudy (anonymous):

set the eq = 0 and use quadratic formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x^2-8x+5 = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4+- √11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A and C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you i got it now sort of :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know quadratic formula?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(-b+-√b^2-4ac)/2a, where ax^2+bx+c =0

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

rewrite the equation as \[x^2 - 8x + 5 = 0\] use the general quadratic formula \[x = (-b \pm \sqrt{b^2 - 4ac)}/2a\] where a = 1, b = -8 and c = 5 Don't forget, there are 2 answers to this problem
