OpenStudy (anonymous):

Should there be an increase or decrease in mass of the dialysis tubing (with glucose, starch in it) after 30mins soaked in distilled water?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, water will flow inside tubing. Provide some extra information if not satisfied with answer.

OpenStudy (blues):

Yes the mass will change; as adeshshendge says, it will increase.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ty!! luckily i wrote it will increase in mass too :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And actually one more question , if i heat up the dialysis tubing, will the starch able to move out to the beaker, and therefore decreases the mass in the tubing?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

may i know pore size of tubing? You can also mention about starch. heating will not affect generally

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, i cant tell the pore size by looking at it but my experimental results show that starch cannot pass through

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The heating will not affect so much then
