The area of a parallelogram is 36 cm^2. The height of the parallelogram is 3 centimeters. How long is the base?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

it's pretty straightforward...area of parallelogram is base x height so... 36 = 3b base = 12 ok?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes :]

Directrix (directrix):

36 = 3h where the area of the parallelogram is A = bh 12 = h

Directrix (directrix):

Should be 36 = 3b and b = 12. I mixed up the variables but multiplication is commutative. :)

I still got what you were saying :]
