-14+9 = -5 then x/3 = -5 multiply both sides by 3 x = -15

Input: x/3 = -14 + 9 Results: x/3 = -5 Alternate form: x/3 + 5 = 0 Solution: x = -15
x/3 = -14 + 9 x/3 = -5 x =- 15
