x² = 16
x= ± 4
Directrix (directrix):
(x + 4)(x - 4) = 0
Use the Zero Product Property to solve
x + 4 = 0 or x - 4 = 0
x = -4 or x = 4
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Input: x^2 - 16 = 0
Alternate form: x^2 = 16
(x - 4) (x + 4) = 0
Solution: x = -4
x = 4
I can also give you the "Root Plot" :)
OpenStudy (amistre64):
hobloses is the most intuitive for this one in my opinion
