I was trying to evaluate this medal system issue we have, I went to my profile to look through my past questions and I come across this one where a reply which was nothing related to the answer I was looking for has the most medals awarded... I think either people like wrong answers more than the right ones, or there's some favoritism going on.

well it's not a bug, people just give more medals to "funny" answers or maybe as you said to popular user
