I wonder if it might be possible to either increase the allowed length of the initial question, or make it very short, akin to a thread title. There doesn't seem to be a good reason to make only the initial post shorter than the responses. I often end up having to reply to my own post just so I can finish asking my question.

Yeah I have experienced it too, and it's a shame because if you go over question limits it usually means that you try to explain what you have done and etc. However now OS itself kinda encourage to copy/paste question and that's it. So it would better to have minimum limit instead of maximum but it won't happen

It won't happen? Why not? Seems like a simple fix, and one that would be welcomed. Any particular reason why it's impossible or undesirable?

I have suggested it and other users just said nooooo, but it's worth to note that those users post such posts and majority of people using OS is for hws only
