How would you solve 9-abs(5x)=8? What is the difference in solving this equation and an equation that has the absolute value on the outside of the equation like abs(5x) - 9 = 8?

9-|5x|=8 -> |5x| = 9-8 = 1 -> 5x = ± 1 => x = ± 1/5
