I rewrite my definition of a voltage source, but I'm not sure if it's well written.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A dependent source is a circuit element that supplies energy to it. The magnitude of this energy is a function of a variable of the circuit (current or voltage) present on another element of the circuit. The dependent source can be thought of as formed by a control part and a controlled part.
