An observer in the east tower notices a fire at an angle of 40º from the line of sight between the towers. An observer in the east tower notices the same fire due north from her tower (see the figure below). Due to the terrain around the towers and through the forest, a fire truck from the west tower travels at an average speed of 20 miles per hour. A fire truck from the east tower travels at an average speed of 15 miles per hour. If both leave their towers at the same time, which one will get to the fire first? Justify your answer by showing all the calculations and steps.
