At Water World the admission fee is $17.00, and you can rent an inner tube for $0.75 per hour. You can use the formula P = 17.00 + 0.75h to find the total cost for admission plus renting an inner tube. a. Solve the formula P = 17.00 + 0.75h for h. Explain your steps for solving the formula for h. b. For how many hours can you rent an inner tube if you only have $20.75 to spend? Explain your method for finding the answer.
\[h = \frac{P - 17}{.75}\]
Thnx so much for your help...you just made my life 10x easier lol.
Well, actually, it said "explain" the steps. If you can do that, then I agree that your life is ten times easier :P
Lol i realize its a rather easy question...I'm just cramming late and my brain is fryed lol I'm sure I can manage though... :D
For part b, $20.75 is the possible price for the inner tube depending on the amount of hours you choose to spend with it. If it were me, I would just bring my own tube.
Six Flags makes so much money on rentals.
\[h = \frac{20.75 - 17}{.75}\]
So basically, if you spent 20.75, you would enjoy yourself at Water World for about 5 hours, but then after that you'll be sad and broke :P
