Find the outer circumference of a pipe with 3.5-in. diameter. (show steps please & thank you!)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3.5*pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C = diameter * pi C = 3.5pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

more formally, the Circumfrence is 2*radius*pi, but for sake of argument you were given the diameter, so it makes no sense to take half the diameter then multiply it by 2 again. 2pi*r = d*pi

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Formula: Circumference = pi*d
