i need to solve the following equation and i keep getting different answers: Solve for x a) 1/2x^2 + 1/2X - 6 = 0 b) -x^6 - x^3 + 12 = 0 c) -1/3x^4 - 1/3x^2 + 4 = 0 d) x + sqrt(x) - 12 = 0 e) (x^3 + 8)(x^4 + 16)(50x^2 + 50x - 600) = 0 can anyone help?

the first one (a) you can factor out 1/2, and it's x^2 + x - 3, which you can then use the quadratic formula.
