How do you a type a formula in a question?

OpenStudy (katrinakaif):

Use the "Equation" button or if your advanced, LATEX works as well.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean in the "Ask a Q" box

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Yes, you can ask a question in the answer bar as well. It's free.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

You have already asked a question. Now you can elaborate it here. ;)

OpenStudy (katrinakaif):

No, I believe not unless you know how to use LATEX.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

learn latex basics

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is latex? I just started using OpenStudy..

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Use the Equation editor, just below here. Or you can also use the draw tool to make it easier.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

google knows what latex is

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if we try to demonstrat it, it just gets parsed into an equation ...

OpenStudy (katrinakaif):

"Latex Practicing" Group can guide you through

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you type a fraction like this \[\frac ab\] lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a/b

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

|dw:1330666196289:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[a/b\]

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the point is, it rather hard to demonstate the latex coding wihtout it actually just parsing thru as the end result

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

That will work as well. Dont forget to use the parenthesis.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Know I understand what latex is!
