The "ask a question" need to improve such as adding "equation editor" and "drawing", although all this you can do using "reply", but this can cause users to earn an extra reply and one step forward to earning "The Answering Machine" during replies.

Sam, you bring up some good points. I believe previously this has been a design issue, but our design guru @darthsid will need to answer that question for certain. He's the one who gets to make decisions about what buttons go where. We developers just do what we're told. :)
