heres the message you recieved: We have discovered in an uncovered outdoor area a circular concrete object 3' 6" high and 5' in diameter, with a base underneath which connects to the ground. The circular concrete object has another concrete object of much smaller proportions on each side of it. There were two smaller objects. There were two half-moon shaped pieces that were 1 and 1/2' high and 5' in length. Each of the two smaller objects also has an extension underneath that allows the object to rest upon a flat area made up of red bricks. The red bricks cover a space of 20' by 30”, which is the space equal to two cars parked side-by-side in a driveway. We discovered several artifacts. These include two small square objects with a thin wax coating. The objects have small spout openings with a strong smell permeating from the interior. Also, there are three cylinder shaped metal objects small and light enough to hold in one hand. At one time ants were crawling inside and out of each object. There was one hard-paper covered object containing hundreds of individual slices inside. Pictures, writings, and maps were on the slices. An additional hard-paper covered object containing individual slices with numbers and writings on each of the slices was found in the artifacts. One soft, crumpled, paper object with a small amount of rose coloring was collected from the site. Finally, the last object was five metal objects with jagged edges secured on a small metal ring. i really need help im noot creative at all this is what i need For this assignment, you are to include the following six requirements in your report. You will go to your “Assessment” box, pull up lesson 1.03b, and upload your report that includes the following elements for full credit (Remember you could look at the student sample from the lesson page of what is expected if you like): 1.Up to 10 points for correctly answering the question- "What is a hypothesis?" 2.Up to 12 points for an assessment of each of the objects, identifying what you think each object is and the time period associated with each. (2 points each) 3.Up to 5 points for an assessment of each of the site details, identify what you think each site description is and the time period associated with each. (1 point each) 4.Up to 2 points for giving the name or type of site you are viewing. 5.Up to 2 points each for answering the following questions: Were the objects at the site left by people? If so, how many people were present? Can you determine the gender of the people? 6.Up to 15 points for writing a suggested scenario or story representing how the objects were left behind. Scenario must be thorough, logical, and creative. The maximum point value for this required assignment = 50
A hypothesis is a tentative statement about the relationship between two or more variables. A hypothesis is a specific, testable prediction about what you expect to happen in your study. For example, a study designed to look at the relationship between sleep deprivation and test performance might have a hypothesis that states, "This study is designed to assess the hypothesis that sleep deprived people will perform worse on a test than individuals who are not sleep deprived."

@mak_12 u there
06/03/09 Museum Director, After a detailed study on these newfound artifacts found in an African Jungle, I have come up with a reasonable hypothesis ( an educated guess of what is, or going to happen). I have reason to believe that this was a campsite where in 1910, a group of European explorers went to study Great Apes, who were very unknown in that time period. I believe that in this group of explorers, there were two men, and one woman. I decided this because of the artifacts left by them: -Two Small Square Objects with Spout Opening: I believe that these square objects held a fluid called Ether. This is a very strong liquid used to put animals to sleep for a short time. The smell triggers the brain to put the animal to sleep. The small square containers were wrapped in the wax to keep it from leaking. The explorers used this solvent when capturing Great Apes to put them for transport back to Europe for further investigation. Ether made capturing and caging the apes much more safe and easy for the three explorers. -Three cylinder shaped metal objects: I have come to the conclusion that these objects are in fact cups. There were three cups for the three explorers. This artifact was most useful in deciphering the amount of people who had once occupied this site. Because they are aged, they have been rusted down thus explaining why ants could crawl in and out of these cups. -One hard-paper covered object with slices of maps and pictures: This artifact was not hard to decipher. I assume that this was a cartographic journal, used to map out the area in which the small group of Europeans were exploring. They made small drawings of the animals and plants that they saw, and stuck the drawings inside the notebook for future reference. -One additional hard-paper covered object with slices of numbers and writing: I have decided that this is also a journal, however, used for a different purpose. This is where the explorers recorded their data. They wrote down populations, characteristics, and any other points they thought necessary for study. -One soft, crumpled, paper object with a small amount of rose coloring: Although our observers believe that this object was paper, I disagree. I have reason to believe that this is a worn-out handkerchief used by a woman. As it aged, it got stiff, making it seem more like paper. It is crumpled as if crumpled in a pocket. The rose coloring could easily be a smudge of the woman's rouge or blush. This artifact is the reason that I believe a woman was part of the Exploration team. -Five metal objects with jagged edges secured on a small metal ring: This relic was not difficult to make sense of. This is a key-ring with five keys on it. These keys could have been used to open trunks, food storage, and even cages to transport animals back to Europe. Hopefully with further research, we can quite literally unlock the mystery behind what these keys open. Concerning what was left of the Explorers Campsite, I believe it was attacked by native animals, thus forcing the Explorers to leave immediately, without many important items necessary for their research on the Great Apes and other animals in this specific African Jungle. The circular concrete objects were most likely built when the explorers first got to the site in order to easily keep up tents, and other means of shelter. The other red brick area may have been used as a patio, where the explorers ate, and relaxed without having to sit on the jungle floor. Because the explorers took the time to pour concrete, and add bricks to the Jungle floor, we can see that they must have stayed at the campsite quite a long time before evacuating due to mutilation because of the animals. It is my wish that as we keep digging this site, we find more of the campsite and unleash more evidence to back up my theory on what took place at this site. I do hope that my hypotheses on these objects help in the excavation of this site. Jessica Jacobson
