OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

take the derivative.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

See the value of "a" ax^2 + bx + c = 0

i must be pissin ou off with too many questions

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

If it's positive, then it will be a happy face, a minimum point.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks guys

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

If it's negative, then there will be a sad face, a min point.

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

That's the easiest way, which u will unfortunately learn in calculus. The derivatice is: 4x+4, set it equal to 0 and solve for x. 4x+4=0 x=-1 then plug this back into the original to get the y value.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait if its a poitive parabola doesnt meanit max??

OpenStudy (bahrom7893):

no a positive parabola is min.

OpenStudy (anonymous):
