return of investment and share price have no direct link. ROI is what the corporation earns from their investments.  calculated as a percentage

Now if your question is pertaining to the corporation purchase price of shares of stock - that is used in computing the ROI.

yes, overall financial results CAN influence stock price - but there are lots of other variables in that comprehension besides financials
