OpenStudy (anonymous):

and all three parts of it

|dw:1330817412676:dw| question 15 a) first find the angle let angle is a tan(a)=180/235 a=37.45 let b is the angle which is for upper triangle. b=90-a =90-37.45=52.55 tan(b)=x/235 x=tan(b) *235= tan(52.55) *235=306.8 height h = x+180 =306.8+180=486.8=487 fts b) that is x=307 fts c) using pythagorian theorem d=sqrt(307^2+235^2) d=386.6=387 fts

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did not use tan, since this 2nd angle split another - i knew this was a 45-45-90 triangle and used special properties

OpenStudy (anonymous):

gud luck @smilz39

OpenStudy (phi):

This can be solved using similar triangles.

OpenStudy (phi):

I assume part (a) means what is x? x= 307 part (b) is x+180 = 487 part(c) you can use the pythagorean theorem. with sides 307 and 235 (see rose's answer)
