y' -y = -x find integrating factor e^-x (e^-x)y' -(e^-x)y = -x(e^-x) (ye^-x)' = -x(e^-x) integrate both sides y(e^-x) = e^-x(x+1) +C y = x+1 +Ce^-x
typo...last part should be Ce^x
