There is a huge income gap in many Latin American countries and it continues to widen. What effect might this income gap have on political stability and democracy? What might be a solution to close the gap?

Confiscate all the assets of everyone, divide by the number of people, and divvy up the money. (Don't forget that the government leaders get to take all they want off the top first).
