OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, what is perimeter? what is area?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have the perimeter as x^2 area as 4x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, area is base x height. if the base is (x+4) and the height is x, wouldn't the area be x(x+4)=x^2+4x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

same for perimeter.. one side is x, one side is (x+4). 2(x+4)+2x= 2x+8+2x= 4x+8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\what about 4x+8?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so i have the perimeter as 4x+8 and area as x^2+4x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i just had it all mixed up. thanks
