This poem sounds like it signifies fear of what will happen in a relationship...
"My heart controls my mind" =its my choice who i like
"Should i ignore you" = should i ignore your opinion

It all points to some sort of fear of what is going to happen in a relation ship problem

Wow, nice poem. Sounds pretty straightforward to me. Isn't this how it can feel at first, when you're so taken with someone you hardly feel like yourself any more?

It's either gender describing their feeling towards their crush. They describe the way they get so nervous around them and how they can't wait anymore but they want the person regardless.
