The length of a rectangle is 3 yards more than the width. If the perimeter is 134 yards, what are the length and the width?

OpenStudy (callisto):

let l be the length, width = l-3 2[l+(l-3) ] = 134 4l = 140 l=35 so, length is 35 yards and width is 32 yards
