You buy a plastic dart gun and being a clever physics student you decide to do a quick calculation to find its maximum horizontal range. You shoot the gun straight up and it takes 4.1s for the dart to land back at the barrel. What is the macimum horizontal range of your gun?

So far I know that t = 4.1s and g = 9.8m/s^2
This initial velocity can be found from: V2 = V1 +at Used half the time, because V2 = 0 at the highest point. Then with V1 in the horizontal direction, the distance can be found from: d = vt using the full time.
In the first equation, the acceleration 'a' = g = -9.8 m/s^2
