I'm using Mac OS X 10.6. Anyone have a suggestion for a friendly Python interpretter/UI for Mac OS X/Linux? I'm ok to use Terminal but it would be nice to have something else more specialized for Python...

Have you tried IDLE that comes bundled with Python? I think it's quite good for Python especifically :-)

I would stick with IDLE as well, it does the job and has extra tools that other editors I've tried do not have. I've watched both of the 600 classes on OpenCourseWare, and both instructors used IDLE themselves.
