I need to set up a proportion for this question: A recipe for chocolate chip cookies requires a half cup of sugar for a serving of 8 cookies. You need to make 30 cookies for your Math class and decide to use proportions to calculate how much sugar you need. Tell me if I am doing this right please :)

I know that 1/2cup sugar = 8 cookies so that means that C = 30. I need to find out what C is. I think that maybe I would set up the proportion like this but I'm not sure: |dw:1330997293354:dw| And then I would cross multiply. The only thing I'm not sure I'm doing right is setting up the proportion. Please let me know. Thank you :)
