Solve, Someone Pls HELP! 0.9x-2.1y=12.3 4.6x-6.3y=40.7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isolate one of the variables, and then plug it into the other equation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for example, isolating the x in the first equation, x=(12.3 + 2.1y)/.9 then you plug that x into the second equation. and you could solve for why. or a diff method, you could multiply the top by -3, then cancel out the y.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Multiply the top equation by -3 and add the two equations. this will eliminate y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the top would turn out to be .27x + 6.3y=36.9. then you add that to the bottom and the y's cancel since one is positive and the other is negative.

Oh ok I konw what I did wrong!
