find the slope: x+3/-5+y-1/2=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just get y alone and the resulting fraction coefficient (number behind the x) of x will be your slope. So.... minus the x + 3/-5 and add the 1/2 to each side to get y = x + 3/5 + 1/2 + 1. Since there's no number behind the x, the y intercept is some number, but the slope is 1 since there are no numbers behind it.
