can you help me solve for "r" >.< i cant figure it out http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/6128/23695060.jpg

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my attempt was that i made little triangles inside the triangle but i cant get that to work

Directrix (directrix):

Where is the original question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats it lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

IfA = 45° and x = 15, find r.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on the link i labled the r's

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would that work even if 15 is only part of the hyp?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its exaclty like that =/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the C on the diagram i drew is the center of the circle. the "r's" are the radius. thats why i drew a little arc from point D to B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

point CD=radius CB=radius BA=15 DA=since its 45-45-90 it should be the same value as the radius

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i drew exaclty what its on the book
