What does f''(5)=10 tell you about a graph if f'(5)=0?

OpenStudy (hoblos):

f'(5)=0 ----> at x=5 there is a maximum OR a minimum f''(5)=10 >0 --> it is a maximum

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK then this is one of thoes exceptions, because the graph is concave up when x<10 and the graph contains 10,5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not sure how 5, 10 can be a maximus

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me lay out the conditions and you can tell me where i am messing up

OpenStudy (hoblos):

sorryyyy my bad... it is a minimum when f'' is positive we have a minimum

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(10)=5 f'(5)=0 f''(5)=10 f''(x)<0 if x>10 f''(x)>0 if x<10
