anyone can help me? how albert eistein got the idea about e=mc^2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Albert Einstein was famous for his theory of relativity and the resultant formula relating mass and energy; E = mc2. He was the winner of 1921 Nobel Prize in physics for his work on the photoelectric effect, which is also known as the Hertz effect. He proposed a theory of relativity - which was the basis for a lot of new science. i.e. E= MC2 Where E is energy, M is mass of the body, C is the speed of light. His ideas were from relativity.

Have a look at Einstein's original paper, which is quite short: http://www.fourmilab.ch/etexts/einstein/E_mc2/www/
