Not familiar with (x,y,z) coordinate systems, but if I were you I would find the midpoint of the line AB, M, and then the distance PM from that. Is the distance formula in three coordinates sqr((x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2+(z2-z1)^2)?
ok. can u at least show me the steps.
Like I said I don't know how to work in these coordinate systems, so I can't be much help. Sorry :\
