Yes, you can ask a grammar question here -- I'm seeing this question in the Writing group. Alternatively, you could post it in the English group. At any rate, what's the question?

Which choice describes how the underlined pronoun is used in the sentence? Phil's grandmother told him stories of her childhood in the Philippines. him is suppose to be underlined

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the grandmother tells stories to Phil. (Or the grandmother tells Phil stories.) When you give something *to someone* or tell something *to someone* that person receives the indirect action of the verb. So "him" here is the indirect object. The direct object is "stories."

okay thanks that was what my answer i thought was right so good!

Cool. :)

here is the attachment to the question i need help with!

Take a look again at your number 3. And numbers 6 and 7. Think about how those would be written if you added in the understood verbs at the end. Review 17. Treat it just as you have with 18. "Either/or" sets up a singular, just as does "each." You need to rethink 21 through 25. Perhaps you should review the class materials on pronouns and antecedents.

thanks you are awesome ...ya i agree
