How many coefficients are in the expression 8c + 12 - 4d - 4.4 - 3d + c + 9d?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First, we need to combine like terms. I see two terms with a 'c' and three terms with a 'd' and two terms that are numbers. Then, once we have one term with a 'c', one term with a 'd' and one term that is a number, we can count the coefficients.

I dont get it. Is it 2 3 4 5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first you need to collect like terms that is to rearrange the expression like this 8c+c+12-4.4-4d-3d=9c+7.6-7d after this ,u can now count the co-efficients so that means that there is 1 coefficient of c and 1 coefficient of d

Thank you guys so much
