2x + 1 => 5 or -3x > -9 Part 1: Solve the inequality above. Part 2: Describe the graph of the solution.

hero (hero):

2x + 1 => 5 2x => 4 x => 4/2 x => 2 -3x > -9 9 > 3x 9/3 > x 3 > x x < 3

hero (hero):

I don't do it how everyone else does it. I avoid dividing by a negative. Instead I add the negative containing the variable to both sides, then add the integer to both sides. I do that all in one step. Then continue solving.

you dont flip the symbol on x => 4/2?..

hero (hero):

You only flip the symbols if you ever multiply or divide by a negative. I avoid doing that at all costs because I personally believe that approach to solving inequalities can be confusing.
