Jellyfish release the egg and sperm into the sea. The fertilized egg settles down on the sea floor and grows into a polyp. When polyps bud, they form a medusa, which develops into the jellyfish. What is this process of reproduction called?

No, it says the jellyfish release eggs and sperm which fertilize so it must be sexual reproduction. Possibly you are looking for the term "alteration of generations" where two different stages in life cycle have radically different forms - one a polyp and the other a free swimming jelly fish.
