If you were on Mercury the planet, which planet would be visible in the night sky?

which planet, singular, just one planet? Why not more?

For example, the next closest planet (on average around an orbit) is Venus. So yes to Venus. But why not then Earth, and then Mars and Jupiter and Saturn?

Venus, because out of all the planets, Venus is the brightess.
