what the difference between U.S. state senate and U.S. national senate?

US Senate is for all the states altogether. The State Senate is for the Individual states.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

states have their own sennate and they create laws just for that state but the national senate is in charge of not just maintaining the country but also creating new laws and they and the house of representatives choose who is president such as the election when it was jackson vs. jhonson jackson had more votes but the sennate and house of representatives crowned jonhson president
