i have these questions can some one help me on this one Decide if the statement is always, sometimes, or never true. The equation of the axis of symmetry for a parabola includes both the variables of x and y. A. sometimes B. never

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i hate these i always get them wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well an axis of symmetry is an AXIS. Therefore, its just a straight line going up or down. Which means you only need the x-variable: ex) The axis of symmetry for the parabola y = x^2 is x=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so then it would be sometimes right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the equation for an axis of symmetry NEVER has the both the x and y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok thank you
