what is log10=

Directrix (directrix):

Is this a base 10 log?. If so, then the answer = 1.

Directrix (directrix):

Because 10^1 = 10.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it doesn't have a base it is just log10

Directrix (directrix):

Then, it is assumed to be a base 10 log. Logarithms are exponets. So log base 10 or 10 means what power of 10 do you raise 10 to in order to get 10. That would be 1.

okay i see. thanks

Directrix (directrix):

Think about the problem as log10. log( base10) of 10 = x means by definition of log that 10^x = 10. 10^x = 10^1, so x = 1.
