A = (5,-8) P = (43/4, -43/16), Calculate the angle of direction to go from A to P.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you need to break it down to x-components and y-components, then use trig to solve the angle. don't forget to use a reference for the angle such as east of north, west of south, etc, etc

Is it ok to use true bearings?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i suppose so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Could you please confirm that the answer is approximately 47.3* T, I am not very confident.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im pretty sure true bearings go counterclockwise from the x-axis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if memory serves

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or maybe i'm wrong, is it clockwise from north?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it is clockwise from north

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Google says clockwise from north so probably lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1331109981334:dw| So yes, true bearing is 47.3º

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks!!, can I ask another question here or open a new thread?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

preferably new thread, because this question is already solved so nobody will see it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, thanks
