Its a trapezium. So to fund the area...use the formula A= 1/2 ( b1 + b2) h b1=2.4 yds b2= 1.2yds and h=3.4 yds

1/2(3.4)(1.2+2.4)=5.4

Area of a trapezoid = one-half the sum of the bases times the altitude. A = .5 (3.4) (1.2 + 2.4) A = .5(3.4)(3.6) A = 6.12 square yards .5 * 3.4 * (1.2 + 2.4) = 6.12
