perhaps the u isn't a u. it may be the greek letter mu. which means micro, which is \[10^{-6}\] so what the picture i imagine you are looking at is describing are the physical dimensions of the adenovirus virion. If this is the case, the icosahedral virion should be described as .09 - .1 micrometers in size.
