Does any one know how to read these linear graphs ??Picture below

FIrst find the equation of the dashed line that forms the boundry between the shaded and the non shaded region. (y= -7/3*x + 7).. Because it is dashed that means our equation doesn't include the line itself, therefore we will have an inequality < or > instead of <= or >= (these would be used for a solid line). To determin if we use < or > we look to see if the y values of the shaded region are above or below the line.. if above y > -7/3*x+7.... however the shaded region is below so we have:: y < -7/3*x+7 And of course plug in some points, (in the shaded region, on the line, and not in the shaded region) to make sure everything checks out.
