{x | x N and x < 8} I need to express the set using the roster method ?!?!?! What does this mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what's the symbol for x N?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

{x | x E N and x < 8} there is a funny "E" symbol that did not show up in the original one ty Can you explain what this mean, so I can understand it please? Thank you for even looking

OpenStudy (anonymous):

E stand for element N= natural numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so part of the set

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to read that one; ; "set of all x such that x is an element of natural numbers and x is less than 8"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

all natural numbers, but there is an exception given the second value for x (x<8) therefor the solution for x will be all natural numbers less than 8..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know what the roster method is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
