Using the distance formula is: So you have \[d=\sqrt{(0-1)^{2}+(-4-(-3)^{2}}\] Which gives us the distance between the two points \[d=\sqrt{2}\]or 1.414 The midpoint is half the distance. \[1/2\sqrt{2}\] or .707 Use Geogebra to graph the two points.
