Well, maybe we should talk about that. Given 11 and 2, look for the factors of 11 --> 11 and 1 Of 2 --> 2 and 1. The common denominator must have factors from 11: 11, 1 and then factors from 2: 2 and 1. The CD should have factors 11, 1, and 2 whose product is 22. You could use 44 for that matter as a CD but it wouldn't be the smallest one. It's about what you are instructed to do.
