I'm 90% sure that's not correct. 
$$(DEL) <dot> V=1/r ^{2} * delta/deltar (r ^{2}*V _{r}) +1/(r sin theta) * delta/delta theta * (V _{theta}*sin theta) + 1/(r*sin theta) * deltaV _{phi}/delta phi$$
